Registered Charity No. 801511

The principal aims of Treespirit are to protect & conserve trees & woodlands through the land, to create new woods & to promote a greater understanding of all matters related to trees. With our literature we hope to create a deeper sense of awareness & affection for trees, woods & the natural environment as a whole.

Trees have a great deal to offer human beings besides their raw materials. We aim to show this through their undeniable beauty & splendour, as well as recognising the inner peace & understanding that can be gained by quietly meditating amongst them.

Treespirit is neither politically nor religiously biased & we hope we cross these artificial divides. We welcome any articles, poems, drawings or letters or stories & legends based on the theme of trees, Mother Earth & the natural world.

Treespirit now owns three pieces of land which we are reforesting & managing for the future.

Summer Work Party

We hold biannual moots when we work on the land, share & network information & celebrate! We raise many of our own trees at our nursery at Hawkbatch Farm, Bewdley & gladly receive donations of trees too. We pass trees on to good homes & are always on the lookout for good planting land.

Ordinary membership costs £10 (waged), £6-50 (unwaged). This includes a magazine 3 or 4 times a year, for which contributions are most welcome. If you cannot afford this, any donation is welcome. Also remember that anyone can come along & join in with the practicalities of our work!

When a human dies the bell tolls & people morn. When the forest dies the people will perish with it, not a finger is lifted. Who will lift a finger if not us?
